Application requirements

The deadline to submit the full set of application materials for the National Teaching Artist Credential is July 1, 2024. Among the materials that you'll need to submit are:
  • a written plan outlining one of your school-based residency programs
  • a detailed written lesson plan related to the residency program
  • a video recording of you teaching the lesson in a school setting
Your responses to the following questions will help us understand whether you already have or will be able to produce the required materials and what kinds of supports from Arts Ed Collaborative might be needed.

We ask that teaching artists who need assistance in preparing their applications be able to produce the required materials by the specified dates to allow AEC staff enough time to provide adequate support to everyone who requests it. While it may be possible for you to apply this year, we encourage you to consider the requirements carefully and think about applying in a future cycle to allow yourself more time to complete everything.

If you have questions or would like to discuss the timeline for completing the required materials, please click this link to schedule a call with AEC Programs Manager Bradley Hill.
